Mr. Schlosser is Vice President of Stonebridge and advises the firm's defense and high-tech clients. He is one of the U.S. Government s former top experts on defense, security and strategic issues, served most recently as Director of the Office of Regional Affairs in the State Department s Bureau of South & Central Asian Affairs, where he was responsible for key foreign policy issues affecting the South and Central Asian region, including counter-terrorism, political-military and nonproliferation issues. A career Foreign Service Officer, John served in numerous positions overseas and in Washington, including as Director of the Office of Export Control Cooperation and Sanctions at the Bureau of Nonproliferation, and as Chief of the Political-Military Unit in Warsaw where he helped shape security assistance and arms sales policies, including U.S. participation in fighter aircraft tender during the late 1990s. John is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, and did his doctorate research at Stanford University. |
