John Roberts is an Executive Director of Macquarie and Joint Head of Macquarie's Corporate Finance Division since March 2005 and the Global Head of Macquarie's IB Funds Division since August 2003. Infrastructure assets managed include toll roads, airports, telecommunications, water, rail, power and regulated assets.
Mr Roberts joined Macquarie in 1991 from a banking background which included financial markets trading, corporate lending and structured finance. At Macquarie, his roles have included leading the Macquarie New Zealand office, developing and leading Macquarie's Regulated Assets privatisation team and in 1999, heading the Macquarie IBF team in London. Subsequently, John became head of Macquarie's Investment Banking Group in Europe and Africa and head of Macquarie's London office.
Mr Roberts is a director of a number of listed and unlisted entities globally that manage infrastructure investments.
