Mr. John Rice III is currently managing member and founder of Capstone Business Credit, LLC, a group of growth-facilitating entities that provide working capital solutions for small businesses involved in the international trade of non-perishable goods using a structured merchant finance model. As such, Mr. Rice has knowledge of working capital dynamics for a wide range of industries, trade finance, supply chain logistics, manufacturing, distribution and the overall processes -- both financial and business relationships -- by which small businesses grow into successful, profitable companies. In the role of managing member, Mr. Rice serves as credit officer and is responsible for overall corporate strategy, capital formation and planning for the Capstone group of companies. He oversees the international marketing of the company’s programs and services to investors, joint venture partners, clients, factors, accountants, attorney and brokers who furnish business opportunities to the Capstone group of companies. Prior to founding Capstone in 1991, Mr. Rice was principal of John R. Rice Associates, a New York-based business consulting and finance company focused on asset-based debt placements. The firm expanded to include medical equipment lease financing and served clients such as; Johnson & Johnson, Technocare, Seimens Corporation and Marine Midland Bank, among others. In addition, Mr. Rice organized, promoted and managed several Limited Partnerships that funded and/or operated medical equipment contract manufacturing funds, radiological diagnostic centers and was also involved in private real estate developments in New York and Florida on a joint venture basis with the ITT Land corporations. Mr. Rice has contributed commentary to a range of financial media outlets that include: Trade Finance magazine, ABF Journal, World Trade magazine and The Secured Lender |
