Dr. Quagliano oversees the Ph.D. Research scientists at Qbit and the creation of novel lossless data compression and encoding technologies for image, audio and video content. Prior to joining Qbit, Dr. Quagliano managed the computer scientists, physicists and animators at NCI Information Systems, Inc. There he oversaw the creation of software service on contract to NASA-Langley sponsors, customers and end-users. Dr. Quagliano has a background in biologically-inspired software development, 3D animation and 3D graphics. He held a position as technical staff member at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) where he worked in nuclear research, chemical reactions, high-performance computing, kinetics and dynamics. Dr. Quagliano holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Virginia and a M.S. in polymer science and engineering from the University of Massachusetts. |
