John Powers is Executive Vice President, Business Development and focuses on developing strategic investment opportunities for Island Global Yachting. Prior to joining IGY, Mr. Powers was Managing Director of Sun Resorts International, Inc. Mr. Powers was also one of three founding members of Harvard Property Trust Inc., a $200,000,000, Texas-based, real estate investment trust specializing in suburban office buildings. Mr. Powers secured over $200,000,000 of equity capital and completed over $500,000,000 in transactions for Sun Resorts, Harvard Property Trust, and other related entities. Mr. Powers graduated magna cum laude receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics and Finance from Southern Methodist University and his J. D. from the University of Texas. Mr. Powers is a member of the Texas State Bar Association. |
