Sir John Parker, age 63, has been a director of Carnival Corporation since April 2003 and a non-executive director of Carnival plc since October 2000. He was Deputy Chairman of Carnival plc from September 2002 to April 2003. He is the non-executive Chairman of National Grid plc and Chairman of The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company. He is also Senior Non-executive Director of the Court of the Bank of England. He was formerly a non-executive director of Brambles Industries plc, Chairman of Babcock International Group plc, Chairman of RMC Group plc and a President of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects. Sir John Parker has been a member of the General Committee of Lloyds Register of Shipping since 1983 and was Chairman of its Technical Committee from 1993 until 2002. |
