John C. Osswald, CFA, is a Managing Director of Duff & Phelps, LLC. Mr. Osswald is a financial analyst specializing in the fundamental analysis and valuation of private companies and the equity and debt securities thereof for a variety of purposes, including divestiture, recapitalization, tax planning and compliance, litigation, financial reporting, and fairness opinion. He has performed analyses of various intangible assets including patents and proprietary technology, computer software, customer relationships and contracts, noncompete covenants, and trade names, among others.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Mr. Osswald was a manager in Arthur Andersen LLP's Financial Valuation Services Group. Mr. Osswald is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with highest distinction; he has also earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of both the Association for Investment Management and Research and the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago. |
