John O'Connor is an accomplished technical writer and editor. He has written and edited many proposals, executive summaries, and technical papers for contractors with the Federal government.

Mr. O'Connor has worked as a writer for many companies, including GE and GTE Government Systems. For GE Aerospace, he wrote and edited sections of billion-dollar proposals for manufacturing Phalanx anti-missile systems and AINS ballistic missile guidance systems. He also wrote technical papers for GE Plastics and GE Specialty Materials.

For GTE, he wrote and edited the Executive Summary, Management and Technical Volumes of the winning "RED Switch" secure telecommunications equipment proposal. He also edited parts of the CDIN proposal, the Worldwide DSN proposal, the SMART-T proposal, and the Executive Summary of the CHS-2 proposal.

Mr. O'Connor also worked with E.A.C. Operations to write a proposal for a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency grant, and for Metcalf & Eddy, Inc., to write the Executive Summary for a $200 million environmental clean-up proposal. Mr. O'Connor has also contributed to the book, How to Create and Present Successful Government Proposals, for the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers Press.

Mr. O'Connor has also worked as a writer and editor for several magazines, including 6 years for American City & County, a publication for local government officials. He was also editor of the publications Fire Command and Contractors & Engineers.
