John P. Mitchell is an associate in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group, practicing in general commercial litigation, real estate/land use litigation and insurance defense/structured settlement litigation.
Construction, Real Estate & Land Use Litigation. John has handled a variety of construction, real estate and land use litigations since joining the firm. He has experience litigating actions in lieu of prerogative writs challenging zoning ordinances and challenging and defending municipal actions concerning development applications, commercial and residential foreclosure actions, and construction disputes. John also has extensive involvement in a number of large environmental lawsuits relating to soil and groundwater contamination.
Insurance Defense/Structured Settlement Litigation. John has significant experience litigating structured settlement disputes on behalf of insurers, and has also represented insurers in insurance coverage disputes.
Bar Memberships. John is currently a member of the New York State, New Jersey State and Mercer County Bar Associations.
In General. John currently serves on the firm's Associates' Committee, as a representative for the Princeton Office. While in law school, John was awarded the Excellence Award in Torts and the Property Law Courses Award, and he served as a notes & comments editor on the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal. |
