John Milana has overall responsibility for SunGard Higher Education’s accounting, financial operations, and facilities operations. He also serves as a member of the SunGard Higher Education Executive Committee and participates in all strategic decisions of the company. Prior to joining SunGard Higher Education, Mr. Milana was vice president and CFO of IMS Health's Americas division. This is a $1 billion division of the $2 billion company. IMS Health has locations in over 100 countries. Earlier, Mr. Milana was CFO for Atlas Commerce and successfully guided the company through its acquisition by Verticalnet. Following the acquisition, he was asked to continue on at the newly combined company as CFO and fully integrate Verticalnet's finance, investing, and compensation functions. He also held the CFO position at SAP America and was the senior vice president of finance at Sony Electronics. Mr. Milana began his career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where he worked on the audit staff and advanced into a number of financial leadership positions within the company. Mr. Milana is a summa cum laude graduate of Rider University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce, and he is also a Certified Public Accountant
