John joined the Company as Vice President of Sales in June 2005. Prior to Cardiva, Mr. McCurdy served as Vice President of Sales for Neothermia Corporation. Prior to joining Neothermia, he served one year as Director of Market Development for Guidant Corporation in the Cardiac and Vascular Surgery Division. This followed the acquisition of CardioThoracic Systems, Inc. (CTS); a start-up company focused in the area of minimally invasive cardiac surgery devices. While at CTS, Mr. McCurdy served 3 years as Director of Market Development as well as Director of National and Corporate Accounts. Additionally, Mr. McCurdy spent one year in sales for FemRx, an early stage medical device companies focused in areas of women’s health that was later acquired by Johnson and Johnson. The three previous years were spent in sales with Cardiovascular Imaging System (CVIS) a start-up cardiology company, which was acquired by Boston Scientific. During the previous 7 years, Mr. McCurdy successfully served in sales and marketing positions with device companies such as Argon Medical and Baxter Corporation in the Cardiology Division. |
