John Major was appointed Vice President, Worldwide Manufacturing Operations in February 2004. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Service. Major rejoined Tektronix in the fall of 2003 after serving as Vice President of Customer Service and Support for Xerox Office Group and Office Printing Business (formerly Tektronix Color Printing and Imaging Division, CPID). Prior to joining Xerox, Major worked for Tektronix in CPID as Director, Printer Manufacturing as well as Manufacturing Director for both Print Heads and Ink Manufacturing. He began his career at Digital Equipment Corp., where he held a number of engineering and manufacturing positions.
Major has an MBA and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington. He serves on the Advisory Council for Outward Bound. |
