John Lucena has over 16 years of experience combining strong operational management with deep technical skills and applying them to build and lead world-class software and services firms. At Double Fusion Lucena is responsible for integrating the company’s technology offering with its publishing partners as well as managing the overall product lifecycle and strategy. John Lucena was CEO and co-founder of Zendatta, a software professional services firm, which was acquired by USWeb (later marchFIRST) in 1997. Lucena went on to head their Technology Practice in San Francisco which he grew to a staff of over 55 full-time employees and a $10M a year run rate. John Lucena left to be COO and co-founder of Liquid Thinking, a full-service consultancy which he lead to a $15M a year run-rate with a staff of over 100 employees. Lucena later became VP of Engineering at Spark Networks where he led them through a complete re-architecture and deployment of their portfolio of high-traffic, social networking based web sites. John Lucena has also held hands-on, technical vice president roles at DreamFactory and Prosper. John Lucena holds a B.S. degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Industrial Management and Applied Mathematics (Computer Science). Lucena is fluent in Portuguese, French and Spanish. |
