John Hommeyer was named vice president - Growth in September 2006. In this role, he is responsible for leading development of the company growth strategy and driving key elements of its execution including mergers & acquisitions, venturing, partnerships and new growth platforms.
Hommeyer joined Clorox in 2003 as vice president - Strategic Alliances and became general manager of the Laundry category in September 2003. As leader of the Laundry business, Hommeyer helped reinvigorate growth behind a new strategy, pricing moves and series of product initiatives.
Prior to joining Clorox, Hommeyer helped start up Hotwire, where he served as chief marketing officer, and Pets.com., where he was vice president of marketing. Prior to those roles, he worked for 11 years at Procter & Gamble, where he held brand management roles in North America and Asia.
Hommeyer is a member of the boards of directors of Positive Coaching Alliance and Sugar Bowl Ski Corporation, and board chair of the Sugar Bowl Ski Team Foundation.
A native of Olympia, Wash., Hommeyer has a bachelor's degree in history from Dartmouth College. |
