John Hamilton, M.D., is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of several state and national medical societies. He is licensed to practice medicine and surgery in eleven states: Florida, New York, California, Arizona, Texas, Washington, Illinois, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Iowa. He received his B.A. from Coe College, graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 1975, performed his clinical surgery training in Texas, and spent several years in the private practice of surgery in Southern California and Arizona. Dr. Hamilton’s interest in hair restoration began with research he conducted as a medical student. In 1997, he elected to perform hair restoration surgery exclusively and affiliated with Bosley. He received his training from hair transplant pioneer, L. Lee Bosley, M.D. and from other experienced M.D.s at Bosley. Dr. Hamilton has been a guest on KTAR radio, the top Phoenix talk station. He has served as hair loss advisor for Arizona Woman magazine and is a clinical instructor in hair restoration surgery.
