Jack Griem is a partner in the Intellectual Property Group of Milbank's Litigation Department in New York. His practice concentrates primarily on litigation. He also handles a diverse array of licensing and due diligence matters.
Recently, Mr. Griem represented one of the world's premier pharma companies in a consolidated bench trial against four generic competitors. He has also led major patent, trademark, and false advertising litigation in the fields of medical products, consumer electronic products and semiconductors, among others. Mr. Griem also analyzes and negotiates patent and technology license and development agreements, and counsels companies on the management and exploitation of their intellectual property assets.
Mr. Griem is a member of the Pharmaceutical Issues Committee of the Intellectual Property Owners Association, and has been a guest speaker on intellectual property issues. He is a former member of the Committee on Patents, and the Committee on Trademarks and Unfair Competition, of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
Mr. Griem is a member of the bars of the State of New York, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. He is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Griem received an A.B. from Dartmouth College, where he double majored in Chemistry and Psychology. He received his law degree, with honors, from the Hofstra University School of Law, where he was on the editorial board of the Law Review. |
