Dr. Flynn heads the Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical practice at Banister International, and is the Managing Director of Banister's healthcare business, Healthcare Resource Solutions (www.hc-rs.com). His background and extensive focus on client’s issues allows him to fully understand client needs and priorities to work collaboratively and deliver top talent that fits culturally. Dr. Flynn is also the Managing Director of the Global Pharmaceutical Life Sciences Development Sector at Banister International. At Banister, Dr. Flynn has led senior level searches and provided his clients direction for building their companies, restructuring search processes, and reducing hiring cycle time. Prior to joining Banister, Dr. Flynn was Global Practice Director of Deloitte Consulting assuming worldwide responsibility and directing the firm’s consulting to the Pharmaceutical Medical Devices Industry in more than twenty countries. Prior to Deloitte Consulting, Dr Flynn worked as President and CEO of Rollins Environmental Services, Inc., a $250 million New York Stock Exchange Company headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware. Acting as President and CEO, Dr. Flynn’s main responsibilities were to improve shareholder value and to expand the focus of the company to that of a full service provider. He also coordinated a merger between the industry’s two largest players, Rollins and Laidlaw Environmental Services, Inc. Before leading Rollins Environmental Services Inc., Dr. Flynn served as Managing Director of the Philadelphia office of Deloitte & Touche Consulting. There he was responsible for the growth and profitability of the practice and led it through significant growth as well as the merger of the Deloitte firm and the Touche Firm. Dr. Flynn also served as the COO of Wilmington, Delaware before joining Deloitte & Touche Consulting. For four years, Dr. Flynn worked on improving the management processes of the city, reducing costs and under performing programs and working with the State government to restructure the city’s financial base. Before moving onto his leadership position as COO in Wilmington, Dr. Flynn spent five years at Dupont, starting in research and quickly moving to manufacturing and then on to marketing and sales. Dr. Flynn received a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware, where he was a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Society and Tau Beta Pi Honorary Society. He currently serves as Chairman of the State of Delaware Cash Management Board, Chairman of finance committee of the Nature Conservancy, member of Ronald McDonald House Advisory Board and is active with the Archmere Academy board. |
