John Dawson joined Dunkin' Brands, Inc. as Chief Development Officer in April of 2005. In his role, Dawson is responsible for crafting, implementing and executing the direction for the company's aggressive growth strategy, gearing toward doubling the business in the next five years. He leads the day-to-day operations of Dunkin' Donuts development and construction teams as well as supports the delivery of current and future development commitments worldwide. Mr. Dawson brings a wealth of development experience in the domestic and international real estate markets as well as extensive expertise in new market selection and entry. Prior to joining Dunkin' Brands, he spent 17 years at McDonald's Corporation, most recently as Vice President of Worldwide Restaurant Development. As McDonald's top development executive he was responsible for setting the strategic direction for all McDonald's restaurant development and supervising all international site development activities, including market and sales analysis, modeling, and training. Dawson earned a B.A. in both economics and political science from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California, before going on to receive a Master's degree in real estate development from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. |
