John Cutler is co-founder and President of LPI and brings a deep knowledge of project roll out and business development from his 20-year career at T-Mobile USA and related companies. Joining start-up General Cellular in San Francisco in 1987, Cutler was one of the original management team members of wireless pioneer John Stanton's Western Wireless Corporation, which ultimately grew to become VoiceStream and T-Mobile USA. During his career Cutler worked in various program management and business development capacities as the company grew from 100 employees to over 28,000, from nominal revenues and hundreds of customers to a $15B annual business with over 17 million customers. Cutler managed the acquisition of cellular telephone operating licenses, radio and backhaul network design, real estate acquisition, facilities zoning and permitting, network roll out, and the expansion and rebranding of direct sales channels. From 1996 through 2001 he served as a Development Consultant for Motorola, Nokia, and Western Wireless International in Eastern Europe, developing networks and managing license acquisition teams in the Czech Republic, Croatia, Kosovo, and Slovenia. During 2001 - 2005 Cutler served as Director of New Market Opportunities for T-Mobile in San Francisco, reporting to the VP of Retail Sales while developing a new small format national retail store channel in 17 US states. He recently held VP positions with radio prediction software and network development services suppliers to the cellular telephone industry. He has been an adviser to Local Power for ten years and helped develop Local Power's innovative renewable energy roll out methodologies. He is 43 years old and married with 3 children, and is a graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine.
