John Curran joined ServerVault in 2004, and is responsible for engineering, operations, and security activities at ServerVault.Prior to ServerVault John was with XO Communications, where he served as Chief Technology Officer and was integral in leading the organization’s technical initiatives, network architecture, and design of leading-edge capabilities built into the company’s nationwide network. In that time, Curran developed and led the company’s Internet and data strategy resulting in data revenue growth to over $500M annually.Prior to joining XO Communications, Curran served as Chief Technical Officer at BBN / GTE Internetworking where he was responsible for the organizations strategic technology direction. Curran led BBN’s technical evolution into one of the earliest Internet Service Providers and through its subsequent acquisition by GTE.John is a recognized expert and accomplished speaker on Internet and telecommunications topics and has been an active participant in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), where he served as co-director of the Operations and Network Management area and member of IPng (IPv6) directorate. He is also active in numerous Internet industry forums and currently serves as the Chairman of the American Registry of Internet Numbers (ARIN). |
