John M. Creed, Chairman, founded Pacific Ocean Restaurants, Inc., a southern California based restaurant operating company which acquires, grows, restructures and manages emerging, underdeveloped and underperforming restaurant chains, and has more than 30 years experience in the restaurant industry. In 2005, Pacific Ocean Restaurants became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Passport Restaurants, Inc. Mr. Creed was previously Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Chart House Enterprises, Inc. a NYSE listed restaurant chain of dinner houses, which he grew from 12 to 75 units with annual sales in excess of $200 million under his leadership. Mr. Creed retired in April 1996, after 28 years with the company. During his tenure with Chart House, he served in many capacities, including President and Chief Operating Officer of the parent company, Diversifood Restaurants, Inc., a public company with sales of $800 million comprise of: 800 Godfathers Pizzas, 500 Burger Kings, and 100 Luther’s Bar-B-Q, as well as the Chart House Restaurants. Mr. Creed is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Hot Dog on a Stick, Inc., a Southern California specialty restaurant company operating more than 100 locations. In addition, he has successfully led Initial Public Offerings and Management Leveraged Buy Outs of Chart House and numerous chain restaurant acquisitions and divestitures including Luther’s Bar-B-Q, Islands Restaurants, Paradise Bakery and Cork’ n Cleaver. Mr. Creed has deep experience in both fast food and casual dining. |
