John graduated with B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Geology from San Jose State University and University of Colorado, respectively. During and after graduate school, John worked for 2 years with the Branch of Coal Resources of the USGS. John gained experience in well site operations, field development, exploration, exploitation, economics, geophysics, and improved reservoir recovery methods while serving as Geologist, Geophysical Advisor, and Exploration and Geoscience Supervisor during 14 years with Conoco. After joining Pioneer Natural Resources in 1998, John served as East Texas Exploration Manager, Global New Ventures Manager, VP Tunisia, and VP Business Development Acquisitions. John joined Broad Oak Energy in June of 2006. |
