John is President and founder of Aerius Aviation Capital Partners, Inc. Prior to forming Aerius, John served as Aviation Finance Consultant and Director of New Business Development for Aviation Management Systems, Inc. where he applied over 20 years of experience in finance and marketing, assisting aviation-related clients on a range of strategic and financial matters. Before joining Aviation Management Systems, John ran his own consulting firm, Islington Advisors, LLC, which provided aircraft finance and strategic advisory services to commercial and business aviation clients. Prior to that, John held positions in financial analysis, sales, marketing, and management for various national banks and finance companies where he successfully assisted clients in the areas of equipment finance and leasing, commercial lending and corporate finance including debt restructures, private debt placements, mezzanine financings, and acquisition financings. Starting as a financial analyst at Bank of New England, John was responsible for structuring and pricing leveraged lease and loan transactions involving commercial and corporate aircraft. Subsequently, John served in a senior marketing capacity with Bank of America selling corporate finance services to Fortune 500 clients. John moved on to serve as Vice President of Aviation Finance for U S West Capital, where he was successful in growing and managing a portfolio of aircraft-related investments. Later, as a senior manager at Wentworth Capital (now Wells Fargo Equipment Finance) John formed and managed a specialized finance group serving the commercial helicopter, business aviation, and commercial marine industries. John holds a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Maine and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire. John’s combination of diverse financial and marketing skills combined with his knowledge of the aviation marketplace, hands on transactional experience and entrepreneurial spirit, enable him to provide clients with the necessary guidance and solutions in this ever-changing capital-intensive industry. |
