John Cerio has more than 15 years of experience as a human resources executive in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. He spent nine years at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he held a series of key leadership positions in corporate staff and in the worldwide medicines business. John led HR for Bristol’s oncology and immunology division, and established the organizational development function for its US medicines business, focused on building world-class capability in sales force organization design, operational effectiveness, staffing, development and compensation. In addition, he developed and implemented state-of-the-art practices in leadership and organization development, talent acquisition and retention, incentive systems and change management.
Most recently John was vice president of human resources for Perkin Elmer Global Life Sciences. While at Perkin Elmer, John played a key leadership role in integrating more than $1 billion in strategic acquisitions, which positioned Perkin Elmer as the third largest drug discovery tools and technology company in the world.
John holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University, and a master’s degree in organizational psychology from Columbia University. |
