Since joining Gencom Group John has been overseeing the non-Luxury Hotel Portfolio, consisting of the six Summerfield Suites, sold to Hyatt in January 2005, six Bradford Homesuites, scheduled to convert to Hyatt Summerfield Suites in June 2007, seven hotels of various brands (Sheraton, Holiday Inn Select and Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza). John also actively heads up site selection for Full Service and Extended Stay hotels. John's primary duties are financial analysis of hotels in his portfolio, due diligence for future acquisitions and coordination between the hotel owners and the management companies with which he works. Before joining Gencom Group in February of 2005, John worked with Dimension Development Company, Inc. for ten years. John was General Manager of Homewood Suites by Hilton hotels in Miami, and Savannah. In his capacities at Dimension Development, he was also a task force manager directing new General Managers in their duties and assisting in development of budgets for new G.M.'s as well. He opened the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Shreveport, LA and the Homewood Suites by Hilton, Miami Blue Lagoon. He has served on Hilton's Information Technology panel and is a member of the Hotel Asset Manager's Association. John Brooke received a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Operations Management from Cornell University's School of Hotel Management. |
