John Abernathy is a member of the management team of West Monroe Partners, where he is responsible for delivering client solutions in the food and distribution industries. John has more than 30 years of experience in business unit operations and information technology.

John has extensive experience in the disciplines of management and technology consulting, manufacturing, retail, wholesale distribution, logistics, distribution, warehousing, procurement, and sales and order management.
As a senior project manager and strategy executive for West Monroe Partners, John assists leadership of the Enterprise solutions practice, bringing extensive experience in business process, IT operations management, organizational design, and strategy disciplines. His primary focus is on middle market clients in the food, retail, and manufacturing and distribution industries. He works with clients on merger and acquisition due diligence, IT strategy, IT organizational design, business process optimization, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software selection and implementation, and complex project management.
Prior to joining West Monroe Partners in 2005, John worked for several global consulting organizations, including Bearing Point, the Senn-Delaney retail unit of Arthur Andersen, and KPMG Peat Marwick, all in Chicago. He also has served as a group project director for Armature/BACG, a multinational organization providing ERP and supply chain software and consulting services to the retail and distribution industries. Finally, he has held IT executive positions with several organizations in the medical supplies and grocery industries.
John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Southwest Missouri State University. |
