John W. Rownd is Associate Vice President of Business Development & Account Management at Fiserv CareGain. He is responsible for cultivating new business opportunities and working with existing clients to ensure they are capitalizing on the leading technology and outstanding service Fiserv CareGain provides. Prior to joining Fiserv CareGain, John spent 10+ years in the health insurance industry with John Alden Health and Assurant Health in a variety of product management, sales management and business development roles. Much of his career in health insurance was spent in the emerging consumer directed healthcare movement starting with Medical Savings Accounts (MSA), then Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA). His focus has always been on developing business and marketing strategies to develop and penetrate this evolving market. In addition, his responsibilities included leading the development and management of HRA and HSA administration platforms at Assurant Health working internally within his organization and with multiple external partners to provide consumers with the tools to manage their healthcare dollars. In addition to health insurers, John has worked extensively with top 10 and regional banks and large financial services companies to create HSA strategies and programs. He has been quoted corporate annual reports and several industry trade publications. John earned a bachelors degree in Communications from John Carroll University (Cleveland, OH) and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. |
