ATA Airlines appointed John Kelly to the position of Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering in April 2006. He oversees all aircraft maintenance and reports directly to the Senior Vice President-Operations and General Manager-Military Charter. John brings an excellent combination of technical experience and strong leadership skills to his position at ATA.
He began his career in 1983 at Boeing. He has worked in maintenance and engineering disciplines at United Airlines, American Airlines, and most recently at Northwest Airlines where he was Managing Director-Ramp Operations in Detroit. He originally joined Northwest Airlines in June of 1997 as the Director of Component Maintenance Operations.
Mr. Kelly holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration with Honors and Distinction from the University of Michigan, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. |
