Mr. Dawson graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1964 with a B. Comm. degree in Accounting. He obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1966 and was a partner in a major international accounting firm from 1972 until his retirement in 2001. During his 37 years in public accounting, Mr. Dawson was involved primarily in national and international client matters. He was a member of the firm's Partnership Board from 1982 to 1994. Mr. Dawson has served as the President of the B.C. Institute of Chartered Accountants from 1998 to 1999 and has served on the boards of several community and charitable organizations. He is also a director and trustee of two other Canadian income funds.
