John Dillon is Vice Chairman of Evercore Capital Partners and is a Senior Managing Director of the firm’s investment activities and private equity business.
From 1996-2003, Mr. Dillon served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of International Paper and prior to that he served as that company’s President and Chief Operating Officer for one year.
Mr. Dillon’s professional affiliations include Chairman of the Board of Directors of TestEquity, LLC. and membership on the Board of Directors of Davis Petroleum Corp., Vertis, Inc., Specialty Products & Insulation Co., Caterpillar, Inc., Kellogg Company, and DuPont. Mr. Dillon also served as chairman of the Business Roundtable; chairman of the board of governors of the National Council for Air and Stream Improvement; and chairman of the board of the American Forest and Paper Association. He was a member of the President’s Advisory Council on Trade Policy and Negotiations and The Business Council. Mr. Dillon also served as chairman of the board of directors of the National Council on Economic Education.
Mr. Dillon received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Hartford and a master’s degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. |
