Personal:
Director and one of four Audiologists at the Lake County Hearing Clinics in Tavares, Clermont and Lady Lake, Florida is Dr. John Trawick Zeigler, Au.D. who received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Bowling Green State University, majoring in Audiology completing in 1973. Dr. Zeigler obtained his Doctorate degree in Audiology in May 2000 from the University of Florida.
John was a clinical assistant while at Bowling Green and has had many years of experience doing diagnostic evaluations and examinations for Otolaryngologists and General Medical Practitioners for a variety of needs. John has experience being responsible for the Diagnostic Audiology activities providing services such as Otoacoustic Emissions, Brainstem Evoked Response Audiometry, Electronystagmyography, Balance Assessment, Facial Nerve Paralysis evaluation, Air, Bone and Speech Evaluation as well as Central Auditory Processing and Middle Ear Impedance Audiometry and Auditory Reflex measurements.
Audiological Rehabilitation of those who suffer from hearing loss often requires the use of amplification and assistive listening devices. Dr. Zeigler has the experience of selecting and fitting over 10,000 hearing aids and assistive devices over the past 30 years.
He holds National Board Certification in Audiology by the American Academy of Audiology. He held the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology awarded by the American Speech and Hearing Association until 2000.
John’s wife Elena Pizarro-Zeigler also has her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Florida graduating in May 2000. John and Elena work side by side helping hearing-impaired individuals overcome their hearing loss. John has two twin children, Nathaniel Robert Zeigler and Jessica Lynn Zeigler. John's hobbies include reading, classical music, piano, acoustic and classical guitar, scuba diving, Lake Watch monitoring of the spring-fed Lake Woodward in Eustis, Florida, and graphic computer art and publishing.
John is interested in and studies business ethics as a fundamental component in an Audiology private practice business model. The use of emotional intelligence and superior business ethics drives the best model for a strong private practice in Audiology services. |
