John S. Macdonald, M.D. Dr. Macdonald is Professor of Medicine at New York Medical College (NYC), and Chief of Gastrointestinal Oncology Service at Saint Vincent’s Comprehensive Cancer Center (NYC). Dr. Macdonald received his M.D. degree from Harvard Medical School in 1969 and was the recipient of the Fifth Annual Petros A. Palandjian Visiting Professor in Gastrointestinal Oncology Award at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute at Harvard in 2002. Dr. Macdonald is active in various cancer organizations and an editor or a member of the editorial advisory boards of numerous cancer publications. Dr. Macdonald is the author of more than 300 hundred articles and has presented more than 130 abstracts, primarily in the oncology field. Dr. Macdonald brings to the Board vast experience in clinical trials and cancer research.
