John Hextall was named our Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in March 2007. All of UTi’s operating regions report directly to John in this role. He also is a member of UTi Worldwide’s Management Board, along with Roger MacFarlane, Tiger Wessels, Lawrence Samuels and Gene Ochi. John is part of our founding shareholder management team and has progressively been promoted to positions of higher responsibilities. John previously served as Executive Vice President, Global Leader of Client Solutions and Delivery from December 2005. He was named President of the Americas Region in June 2004, shortly after which he relocated to our Global Corporate Offices in Rancho Dominguez, California. Prior to this, John was our President of the EMENA (Europe, Middle East and North Africa) Region since March 2000. Previously, he was promoted to Managing Director of UTi Worldwide (UK) Limited, after setting up the Union-Transport N.V. office in Brussels. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Transport, the UK Institute of Logistics, and is a Roundtable Member of the Council for Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), USA and The Conference Board’s Global Council for Supply Chain & Logistics based in Brussels. John earned a BSc Combined Honours Degree from Aston University in Birmingham in transport planning and operations and computer science. |
