John Barker is senior vice president and general counsel. He joined ONEOK Inc. in December 2004 after a 30-year career with the Tulsa law firm of Gable & Gotwals Inc.
While president of Gable & Gotwals Barker represented ONEOK on a regular basis for many years on business and transactional matters mergers and acquisitions and commercial matters including sales and acquisitions of significant assets and public securities offerings.
A Vietnam veteran Barker is a board member of the Tulsa Metro Chamber of Commerce and a past president of the Jenks Public Schools Foundation. He is a trustee of the St. Simeon’s Episcopal Home Foundation and has served on the board and as president of the Arts and Humanities Council of Tulsa.
A Missouri native Barker earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Missouri and received his juris doctor degree from the University of Michigan in 1974. |
