Mr. Zlogar leads this business area that provides antenna systems for various commercial and military markets such as telemetry, remote sensing and gateways. He is responsible for all aspects of the business, including financial performance, sales and marketing, program management, engineering, manufacturing, and service.
Prior to his appointment to his current position, Mr. Zlogar had been the director of engineering for the group. In that position he was responsible for complete technical development of satellite ground terminals for geostationary and low earth orbit satellite communication systems.
Mr. Zlogar had been with Scientific-Atlanta since 1981, prior to the division's acquisition by ViaSat in April 2000. In his career at S-A he was the systems engineer for programs such as a three-axis, stabilized platform for a shipboard infrared detection and a precision automated measurement system for an aircraft fire control antenna and radome. More recently, he had been the system architect for the Iridium Ka-band ground terminals and was instrumental in winning the Astrolink Ka-band gateway program. Before joining S-A, he was a communications systems engineer at RCA in Camden, NJ.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1977 from the Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA and his Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1981 from Stanford University in California. He has also completed additional financial courses at Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University in Atlanta, GA. |
