Jack Walsh is senior vice president, Strategy and Business Development, with responsibility for the company's strategic planning process and for identifying and assessing acquisitions, alliances and new business opportunities.
Previously, Walsh served as IMS’s vice president of Corporate Development as well as vice president and Treasurer, and vice president of Investor Relations. He joined IMS’s predecessor company, Cognizant Corporation, as director of Financial Planning in 1997.
Walsh has an extensive background in mergers and acquisitions, business and strategic planning and in evaluating international business opportunities. Previously, he worked at MCI Communications Corporation, where he held positions of increasing executive responsibility in finance during his 12-year tenure. He began his career in Finance with Ford Motor Corporation in 1978, moving to Ryder Systems Corporation in 1981.
Walsh received a B.B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
