John has more than 30 years of management and consulting experience with companies experiencing the stresses of high and/or uncontrolled growth over-leveraged balance sheets rampant inflation poor cash management unfocused strategic planning and economic downturns. He is an experienced turnaround professional with expertise in investment banking mergers and acquisitions strategic planning cash flow management operational restructurings and financial restructurings.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Huron John was a principal with a national restructuring firm and a manager in the Corporate Restructuring Practice of a Big Four accounting firm. He also has over a decade of experience buying and selling companies both as a senior financial executive and as an investment banker.
John has been the chief financial officer (CFO) and/or chief operating officer (COO) of companies in the healthcare technology manufacturing distribution service and retail sectors. He has been a financial advisor to companies undergoing both out-of-court and court-supervised restructurings.
Early in his career he participated in numerous leveraged buy-out transactions and throughout his career has assisted with the restructuring of numerous debt facilities and the raising of additional capital for over leveraged organizations.
