John Hoke leads an international team of global footwear designers responsible for conceiving, creating and commercializing hundreds of footwear styles each year. John’s team spends most of its time thinking, drawing, inspiring and creating new footwear products. His team is also responsible for communicating Nike’s innovation-driven, design-focused culture of creativity.
Before joining the footwear team, John provided leadership and creative direction for Niketown stores in New York and London, Nike trade show and special events presence. He designed the NIKEgoddess store environment and worked on creating NikeiD.
When he is not at Nike, John spends time with his wife and three sons. He and his family enjoy sports, movies, drawing, camping and traveling.
The defining moment in sports for John was watching the U.S. hockey team win the gold medal at the 1980 Olympics in Lake Placid. They proved that if you believe you can, you will, he said. I still remember the announcer saying, ‘Do you believe in miracles? Yes. |
