Mr. Heisner has conducted more than 100 jury trials, first as a government prosecutor and then as a private practitioner. He is extensively experienced in all phases of complex litigation relating to business, estates, white-collar criminal defense, government regulations, real estate and intellectual property. He represents a broad spectrum of clients in a variety of matters, including military defense contractors, individuals and businesses who own intellectual property, individuals with complex real estate litigation issues, and parties engaged in estate planning and estate litigation. His litigation expertise includes copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, unfair trade practices, commercial real estate transactions, fraud, business compliance, physician discipline and securities. Mr. Heiser continues to consult clients and other lawyers on complex criminal cases. An adjunct professor at the University of San Diego School of Law, Mr. Heisner has also served as a Judge Pro Tem in the California Superior Courts. He is a member of the American Bar Association's Litigation Section, and has served on various criminal justice planning committees, state and local election law commissions, and homeowner association boards of directors. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the St. Jude Hospital Foundation, San Diego Chapter, and a member of the Advisory Board for both the military defense industry and the residential housing industry. |
