John R. Curran was appointed vice president of mergers and acquisitions for Textron in October 2000. Curran is responsible for overseeing and managing business development activities, including mergers, acquisitions and strategic partnerships for Textron.
Curran joined Textron in 1983 as a tax analyst. In the tax department, he held several positions including group tax director, director of tax planning and senior tax counsel. In 1994, he was named director of business planning, and in October 1995, Curran joined Industrial Products as director of business development. He was appointed vice president business development for Textron's Industrial Products segment in October 1998. Prior to joining Textron, Curran was with the auditing firm of Touche Ross & Co.
Curran received his B.A. in economics and government from Cornell University. He earned his J.D. from Boston College, and his L.L.M. in taxation from Boston University. Curran is a past participant in the Textron Executive Development and the Advanced Management programs. |
