Most recently, Dr. Ciallella was a Senior Research Scientist at Centocor, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson company. Dr. Ciallella was responsible for establishing directives aimed at assessing the therapeutic value of biopharmaceuticals in nervous system disorders. Prior to joining Centocor, Dr. Ciallella was a Research Scientist at Cephalon, Inc., where he led the in vivo screening efforts to identify novel kinase inhibitors for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.Dr. Ciallella received his Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky Sanders Brown Center on Aging and Department of Microbiology and Immunology. His postdoctoral training was at the University of Pittsburgh in the lab of Dr. Steven DeKosky, where he studied the biochemical links between traumatic brain injury and Alzheimer’s disease. |
