Dr. John Ambroseo was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Coherent Inc. on October 1, 2002. He was also appointed to its Board of Directors at this time. He has served as Coherent's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since June 2001. Since September 2000, he served as Executive Vice President and President and General Manager of the Coherent Photonics Group. From September 1997 to September 2000, Dr. Ambroseo served as Executive Vice President and as President and General Manager of the Coherent Laser Group. From March 1997 to September 1997, he served as Coherent's Scientific Business Unit Manager. From August 1988, when Dr. Ambroseo joined Coherent, until March 1997, he served as Product Marketing Manager, National Sales Manager, and Director of European Operations. Dr. Ambroseo received his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania. |
