Jack’s practice is focused on real estate law; venture capital and private equity fund formation; partnership and limited liability company law, including taxation; and related tax and securities law matters. Jack’s real estate experience encompasses all phases of the acquisition, development, construction, financing and leasing process, including the structuring of investment syndications, private placements and tax-deferred exchanges. Representing many of Northeast Ohio’s leading private equity and investment fund sponsors, Jack has developed a practice that covers all aspects of structuring and facilitating the formation of venture capital and other private equity funds. He also deals with unique investment vehicles, including tax planning, securities law compliance, investment company and investment adviser act regulation, and management and governance issues. Jack is a member of the board of trustees of Village Capital Corporation, the secretary of Cleveland Development Advisors, Inc. (an affiliate of the Greater Cleveland Partnership), and a trustee emeritus of Laurel School. He is an active member of the American, Ohio and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations.
