Mr. Garnsey as appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Beaver Creek in May 1999. Prior to his position at Vail Resorts, Mr. Garnsey served as President of the Vail Valley Foundation from 1991 through April 1999. Mr. Garnsey joined the staff of the Foundation as Vice President in 1984. He served as the Executive Vice President for the 1989 World Alpine Ski Championships in Vail and Beaver Creek and headed the campaign to bring the 1999 World Championships back to the Vail Valley. Mr. Garnsey served as President of the organizing committee for the 1999 World Championships. Mr. Garnsey is President of the Beaver Creek Resort Company, the Bachelor Gulch Village Association and the Village at Arrowhead Association Board. Additionally, Mr. Garnsey is a Director of the Vail Valley Foundation, and a member of the Board of Directors of Vail Junior Hockey, Vail Valley Chamber & Tourism Bureau, and the The Vilar Center Foundation. |
