Practice Emphasis Litigation and arbitration, primarily construction and commercial disputes Professional Experience John M. Naylor is a shareholder in Lionel Sawyer & Collins' Litigation Department. His practice centers on construction litigation and general commercial litigation, arbitration and mediation. John has handled cases of all levels of complexity, representing owners and contractors.Prior to joining the Firm, John served as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Air Force. His first two years of duty were spent at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. During this time, he gained extensive litigation experience as a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney. John's next assignment was at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, with the Air Force's Trial Team. There he represented the Air Force in government contract litigation before the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals. John gained significant experience litigating multi-million dollar construction issues, service contracts, research and development contracts, and systems acquisition contracts throughout the United States. Reported cases include Appeals of Tri Industries, ASBCA Nos. 47880, 48140 and 48491 (August 20, 1999) and Appeal of TRW Inc., ASBCA No. 51003 (June 27, 2000). John is also an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.
