John M. Maloney Jr. joined Bluegreen in 2001 as Senior Vice President of Operations and Business Development for Bluegreen Resorts. In May 2002 he was named Senior Vice President and President of Bluegreen Resorts and in November 2005 he was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Bluegreen Corporation. In January 2007 Mr. Maloney was appointed President and CEO of Bluegreen Corporation succeeding George F. Donovan who retired as President and CEO and as a Director of Bluegreen Corporation at the end of 2006. Mr. Maloney has been in the vacation ownership industry for approximately twenty years. From 1997 to 2000 he served in various positions with ClubCorp finishing as the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Owners Club by ClubCorp. From 1994 to 1997 Mr. Maloney held various positions with Hilton Grand Vacations Company finishing as the Director of Sales and Marketing for South Florida. From 1988-1994 he was employed with Marriott Vacation Ownership International. Within the community Mr. Maloney serves as a member of the board of directors of the Greater Palm Beach Chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and as Chairman of the JDRF Walk for a Cure.
