John M. Egan a Director since November 2003 is the recently-retired founder and chairman/CEO of ARRIS Group (Nasdaq:ARRS). ARRIS is a global communications technology company specializing in the design and engineering of broadband local access networks and a leading developer and supplier of optical transmission cable telephony and Internet access for cable systems operators. In addition to his role as Chairman of ARRIS Egan served on the Board of the National Cable Telecommunications Association for 20 years the Walter Kaitz Foundation and is actively involved with other industry organizations. Mr. Egan currently serves on the advisory board of KB Partners a Chicago-based venture capital firm and on several start-up boards in the technology area. Mr. Egan earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Boston College. |
