John Baworowsky consults for Noel-Levitz from his position as vice president for enrollment management at Hood College (MD). He offers more than 25 years of experience combining his skills in enrollment management and public relations into effective direct mail, publications, marketing, writing, and financial aid strategies.
In his current duties at Hood College, Mr. Baworowsky is responsible for overseeing the recruitment and retention of freshmen, transfer students, and adult students. In addition he oversees the financial aid and scholarship offices of the institution.
Previously, Mr. Baworowsky served as vice president for enrollment and academic services at Saint Louis University (MO). In his three years at SLU, Mr. Baworowsky led the institution to a 15 percent increase in freshmen while reducing the tuition discount rate by three percentage points, increasing net revenue by over $4,000 per student. He merged the financial aid office and the bursar's office into a one stop financial operation and brought new technologies to the admission office that increased student search response rates from 2.3 percent to 14 percent.
Mr. Baworowsky has also served and as vice president for enrollment and student affairs at the Illinois Institute of Technology. In two-and-a-half years at IIT, he led a 57 percent increase in students and a significant increase in net revenue per student, all while increasing IIT’s academic profile. Before that, he was vice president for admission and financial aid at North Park University (IL). Over a five-year period, he played an instrumental role in North Park's41 percent increase in first-year students and four-point increase in average ACT scores. He has also served as director of public relations at Aurora University (IL) and Benedictine University (IL).
Education: Mr. Baworowsky received his master’s degree from the University of Miami (FL) and is working toward his Ph.D. at St. Louis University. |
