John (Jack) Hammond joined Sensient Technologies in January 1998 as Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel. Prior to joining Sensient, Mr. Hammond was employed by The Providence Journal Company, a newspaper, cable and broadcast television company, as Vice President, Legal. He subsequently served for the company as Vice President, General Counsel and as Chief Administrative Officer. From 1989 to 1992, Mr. Hammond served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, for Landstar System Inc., a trucking company. Prior to that, Mr. Hammond was employed by The Singer Company for 10 years. He was Deputy General Counsel at the time of his departure.
Mr. Hammond holds a Bachelor's degree in History from Yale University and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Maine Law School. He was admitted to the Connecticut State Bar in 1975 and received his Master of Law from the New York University School of Law.
