John K. Delaney, age 44, is the co-founder, chairman and chief executive officer of CapitalSource Inc. (NYSE: CSE), a leading commercial lending, investment and asset management business focused on the middle market. As of June 30, 2007, CapitalSource managed an $20.1 billion portfolio of owned and managed assets.
John has been the chief executive officer and chairman of the board of CapitalSource since the company’s inception in 2000. From 1993 until its sale to Heller Financial in 1999, he was founder, chairman and chief executive officer of HealthCare Financial Partners, Inc. (former NYSE: HCF), a provider of commercial financing to healthcare service companies. John is the immediate past chairman of the board of trustees of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School, the largest independent elementary school in Washington, D.C., a member of the board of directors of Georgetown University, and a member of the board of directors of the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center.
John received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University and his juris doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center. |
